✨ How the Glow Effect Works

The glow material absorbs energy when exposed to sunlight, UV light, or another strong light source and releases that stored energy as a visible glow when moved into darkness.

For the strongest glow:

✔ Expose the finished design to bright light before entering darkness
✔ Stronger and longer light exposure generally provides a more noticeable initial glow
✔ The glow will gradually fade and can be recharged repeatedly by exposing it to light again

Please Note: Glow intensity and duration can vary depending on the artwork, amount of glow material within the design, light source, exposure time, and surrounding darkness.

🔥 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

For best results, we recommend using a commercial heat press with even temperature and pressure.

Recommended Starting Settings

Temperature: 300°F–320°F
Press Time: 10–15 seconds
Pressure: Medium to Firm
Peel: ❄️ COLD PEEL

Because heat presses and garment materials vary, we strongly recommend performing a test press before beginning full production.

❄️ IMPORTANT — THIS IS A COLD PEEL TRANSFER

DO NOT PEEL THE CARRIER FILM WHILE HOT.

After the initial press, remove the garment from the heat press and allow the transfer to COOL COMPLETELY TO ROOM TEMPERATURE.

Once completely cool:

1. Slowly peel the carrier film away from the garment.
2. Inspect the transfer to ensure the entire design has properly adhered.
3. If any portion begins lifting, stop peeling, replace the carrier film, and repress.
4. After removing the carrier, perform a finishing press for approximately 5–10 seconds using parchment paper or an appropriate protective finishing sheet.

⚠️ Peeling the transfer before it has completely cooled may cause lifting, incomplete adhesion, or damage to the design.

Glow in the Dark DTF transfers can generally be applied to many popular apparel fabrics, including:

Always test specialty, coated, performance, waterproof, heat-sensitive, or high-polyester garments before full production.

🧺 Wash & Care Instructions

To maximize the life and appearance of your transfer:

✔ Wait at least 24 hours before the first wash
✔ Turn garment inside out before washing
✔ Machine wash cold
✔ Use mild detergent
✔ Wash with similar colors
✔ Tumble dry low or hang dry when possible
✔ Do not use bleach
✔ Do not dry clean
✔ Do not iron directly over the transfer

Proper application and garment care are essential for maximum durability.

🎨 Artwork Recommendations

For the best printing results:

✔ Upload high-resolution artwork
✔ 300 DPI is recommended
✔ PNG files should have a transparent background
✔ Submit artwork at the actual size you would like printed
✔ Avoid unnecessary transparent or semi-transparent pixels
✔ Small details and extremely thin lines may not reproduce properly
✔ Make sure all artwork is print-ready before submitting

Colors displayed on phones, tablets, and computer monitors may differ from the final printed transfer.

🌙 Glow Effect & Artwork Disclaimer

Glow in the Dark DTF is a specialty transfer product, and its appearance differs from standard DTF.

The glow effect is dependent upon the specialty glow material incorporated into the transfer. Not every color or portion of a multicolor design will necessarily glow with the same intensity.

The daytime appearance of glow transfers may also differ from standard DTF transfers due to the specialty materials required to create the glow effect.

For designs where the glow effect is critical, we recommend ordering a test transfer before placing a large production order.
