DTF Quality Standards

At DTF Rush Orders, we believe custom apparel has the power to bring people together whether you’re representing your brand, group, event, or personal expression. We’re here to make the print process fast, easy, and reliable for everyone. That includes being clear about the types of content we can and cannot print.

To help you submit designs that meet our production standards, we’ve created a color-coded guide. These categories outline what’s printable, what might need changes, and what we can’t process based on legal, safety, and ethical guidelines.

🚦 Stoplight Content Guidelines

Below you’ll find our three tier system Red, Yellow, and Green to guide your artwork submissions. If there’s ever a question, our support team is here to help you make any necessary adjustments so your order can move forward without delay.

🔴 Red Light: Content We Cannot Print

These are designs that violate legal or community safety standards. We do not print content that:

  • Infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property
  • Contains hate speech or targets individuals or groups for harassment
  • Promotes violence, abuse, or illegal activities
  • Depicts explicit adult content not intended for artistic or educational purposes
  • References or promotes underage drug/alcohol/tobacco use

🟡 Yellow Light: Content Requiring Review

These are designs that may be allowed but could require edits or approval. We may ask for changes if your artwork:

  • Contains profanity or vulgar imagery
  • Is sexually suggestive—even if artistic or medical in nature
  • Depicts violence or controversial social/political events
  • References alleged criminal acts or promotes questionable behavior
  • Could be interpreted as encouraging harm or hate

🟢 Green Light: Content Ready for Printing

These are the types of designs we love to print. Your artwork is good to go if it:

  • Is family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences
  • Celebrates community, creativity, or personal expression
  • Uses legally owned or licensed imagery
  • Is aligned with our artwork file standards (300 DPI, transparent background, vector preferred)
